Used to be special with my baggage far behind, a special person on my mind
Life was good, just a cool dude, with a special friend so kind
Today was better than the one before with my special friend around
Was it my fault, I don't know, my friend gone, not even a sound
I know now what I never knew then, I need my special friend
I'm on my own all alone, my secret tear, I thought it could never end
Just gone, no message, no goodbye, no mailbox, no message to send
I sleep at night alone with my thoughts so close to me, I'm sad
Can I turn my life back just for a moment, I know now, please let it be
Can the powers that be, help set me free, just make it you and me
From the morning sun when our love begun, I want it back again
Just you and me and the morning sun, can we make it shine again?
That loving touch in our valley of love we shared every minute of our day
It's in my heart, it's in my mind, it was so beautiful never take it away
