Five dollars in my wallet..
I remember back in the day..
when 5 dollars could buy much more than today..
A donut, a pack of smokes and a cup of black coffee..
A value meal at Mickey Dee's..
and still have enough to buy a stick of Wrigley's..
can you still remember those days?
The past is full of memories..
some good others not so good..
My vision is 20/20 when I look back and tell these stories..
Seemingly with fondnance and faded glories..
This journey is like looking down the wishing well..
And seeing my fate and what my life recalls..
Of twists and turns of trying to find out where I belong..
Five dollars it's what I used to make in an hour..
I'm laughing now at least I still can..
Humor is the best medicine I can afford..
Who needs Obama care as long as we've got 5 dollars in our purse..
