Benign be to us those constellations
To which the Moon as he moves on honors.
All that are in the sky, in the heavenly regions
Be propitious and deal us out our share of prosperity,
Prosperity and wealth be ours, and wealth and prosperity
Adoration be rendered to the Deities of Night and Day!
~*~
Fair be our sunset, fair our morn and evening
And day with lucky chase and happy omens;
With blessings and success the flames of Stars
Go to the mortals and return for rejoicing with us.
May my invoking bring the life of eternal bliss
To us, and the sounds of empty pitchers
Shall be hushed up, O my Heavenly Father!
~*~
May we escape curse and evil spirit, enjoying
The blessing of the Goddess of Heavenly Stars,
May our minds enjoying what is pleasant on earth
Pour forth fragrant and nectarine poetic words!
Those flames of Brahmanaspati in the spheres
Of heavens borne to all quarters, turn them hither.
By cosmic winds, O Mother of the Creation!
Make them most gracious unto us all to shine
With blissful light in our bodies and minds!
