'' You're A Figure Of Hate ''
This alternative Valentines Day poem is dedicated to all those who have been cheated on and to show that you are well rid of them.
Have a lovely day.
Is love a dream where you get the cream,
The food of life or of endless strife,
Could it be lust, which can and will disgust,
Partners in crime or like doing time.
Putting on a faηade is that why you stayed,
Acting serene when it's not what you mean,
A bit on the side which you need to hide,
Did you even care when you had your affair?
Do you wish to atone now the dove has flown?
Feeling fraught because your partners distraught,
Love no longer flows as disgust for you grows,
You've been indiscreet caught as a cheat.
Gave up what you vowed does it make you proud,
Going behind my back it's courage you lack,
No thought given it's with lust you were driven,
Now you can bet life is filled with regret.
If you've cheated before it becomes less of a chore,
From doing it again you will never refrain,
When it happens to you what will you do?
Will you feel let down then put on a frown.
Lost family and friends it just never ends,
Self loathing is rife it cuts like a knife,
Your dignity's gone you feel put upon,
As long as you live no one will forgive.
From the life of the cheated you are now deleted,
Their living is easy while yours is queasy,
As they enjoy success you're in a terrible mess,
You'll think life's a curse then it only gets worse.
Cheating hurts others while true love it smothers,
A mind in decay is the price you will pay,
As your lies are unloading you've a sense of foreboding,
For living a lie you will wish you could die.
On this Valentines Day you'll be a castaway,
While your ex is now glad you're gloomy and sad,
As for sympathy there's none you are dusted and done,
You have learned too late,
