But One Love By EDWIN FLORES, www.PoetryPoem.com/poetry2231 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
This sentiment that yearns and burns
To feel wanted and too discern
Flies south at times without a care
Stripped naked your heart will bare
Wrestle with the words once spoken
Soft they drew gifts now tokens
Strewn about your heart now broken
Love true love but one to know
That's always stayed and never goes
Sits before your very eyes
Catching tears today you cry
Broken came and made a friend
Of you no care an ear to lend
But one does see and too decrees
You still are His and intercedes
Love comes and goes and knew your name
But not like Him who someone shamed
Crushed your thoughts are His to brush
Away this day your sighs to hush
Know this day is His to change
Change for good as Love arranged
To rise above your circumstance
To sing out loud and with Him dance
No sweets of cardboard box shall fill
The emptiness that weakened will
The sense of things that strangles, holds
The child that is your inner soul
Love but one, love unchanging
Knows you well, life yours paging
By book He keeps of you He loves
Unfinished work, well spoken of
Happy Valentines Day
