They never really understood me at anytime
What it was I wanted so badly in my life
Raised in a family of much deception and woe
How I as a child saw daily amounts of strife
People cheating hurting other's for their gain
And what they felt they needed for them alone
My father was a loving hard working man always
He adored us all and provided for all and home
But children do notice everything around them
They hear what many silently do and have to say
When the cats away the mice can freely play
And they did this and in their very own way
Except for my father nobody really loved anyone
As a child I watched this in life as a child I grew
Those I was supposed to see as family and kin
But what I thought they never ever really knew
So many getting married for reasons not of love
Due to pregnancy and often convenient situations
That is how it was all around me as I grew older
And to me it defied all of their explanations
How I longed for true love and happiness in my life
But it never seemed to be something that I'd win
I too married as my values had me face responsibility
Even though without true love I saw it as a sin
It was not until I much later due to a lack of love
I traveled away from all I was for years surrounded
Them seeing myself as if I lived in a dream of my own
In their shallow material world that kept them grounded
I mostly lived life as if in my own bubble looking out
Un close and un loving families everywhere to be seen
So many pretending that they knew what love was
But to real true love and happiness most had never been
After I had escaped their ridicule for not loving money
And material things as they lived only to obtain
I continued my search for the things I so wanted to know
Now after all this time I live in sunshine instead of rain
Because I never ever lived and died for wealth alone
In their still unhappy lives they see me as one to fail
But I now far away from all of them I once called kin
I live my life knowing my very own as if holy grail
I for the first time have a new and loving family
I have new sisters and brothers and daughters too
I have many I see as if my own now grand children
And loving caring relations like in life I never knew
I'm now married to my one dream and loving angel
And so in love we both are and for always will be
With all the things in life so priceless and valuable
Both living our same dream together our destiny
All caring sincerely for one another from birth till end
And with so little in life they do so much with same
In a beautiful country where beyond compare
They are lovingly one come good, bad sunshine or rain
It took me almost a life time to find all I needed so
But within my own soul I knew it simply had to exist
I look back without any regret at all in any way
My lifelong dream for all things priceless has been kissed
They all back there thought I wanted a as if fantasy
But all I ever wanted was real true love and happiness
So sad many in life will not miss what they've not known
Even if they realize this in life they'd not confess
In my life since a child I've found all I ever searched for
And I knew within my soul it was out there to find
I look back at times and feel no regret of any past
Complete now within my heart my soul my mind..
