of the floors
the rattling of the windows
the slamming of the doors
the winds whistling through
the gloom
a place of secrets death and lies
after the dark has filled the skies
the evil shadows awake and rise
into the dark they swoop and soar
never again to witness the light
the dawn breaks and they retreat
