The Absurdity of Christianity

People are absurd:
caring deeply
about shallow things,
separating the
wheat from the chaff,
then saving the chaff.
Striking a pose of
profundity,
asking all the "big"
questions like "What is Truth?"
Desperately hoping
no one will answer them,
or, if they do,
that the answers
can be safely obscured.
What is Truth?
Something
so out of line
with fallen man
that it seems absurd.
"Let God be true
and every man a liar."
Not so absurd
after all.

Based on the statement of the early father of the Christian church, Tertullian (C.160-220A.D.) "I believe because it is absurd."
