All over our much loved planet earth home
There are ever so many different levels of life
From the long term poorer countries in the world
To the richest and those who know not strife
I see the wealthy often go to the poorer ones
As if the visit says how much they really care
And then return to their worlds of finery
Feeling better as they can say they have been there
So many are in dire straits re having things in life
Much of which they will never ever in life know
But if the visitors when visiting these poorer ones
The paying for the digging of a water well eyes would glow
A good donation to hospitals there that need supplies
And handed to those that only wish they had enough
Then that visit would be so grand without saying anything
And not advertising that they helped souls that had it rough
I've seen so many in magazines and on the television
As if to say how much they really felt so sadly within
But to give a gift of love in any form at all in life
And then to seek credit I see as a in it's self sin
The good Samaritan never asked for thanks at all
It's been written since that he never existed at all
But in reality if he had not been where he once was
At that time a different story altogether it would so fall
There's ample souls that say they care ever so for other's
And yes back at home in their own worlds how they pray
Asking God to do what they could have well done themselves
And feeling better within as they have done so on the day.
