Visions

The Lamp

Flame flickering in the lamp,
fire and ice,
frozen crystal
and fluctuating gas,
dissolving matter into light.
An oasis of light
in a desert of darkness,
ending and beginning,
good and evil.
And He sits above
the sphere of the Earth,
presiding over
the darkness and the light,
setting the boundaries of the seas,
appointing the limits of evil,
working the the triumph of good
which is the triumph of God.
In His will
are all contraries,
paradoxes,
and contradictions
made one!

" It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof [are] as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in :" Isaiah 40:22 KJV.
