The Logos, The Word
In the beginning was the Logos,
the Logic, Word, Reason,
the subject, the act,
noun and verb, word and deed,
fait accompli,
unfolding purpose,
archetypal command and eternal plan.
God speaks:
the Universe comes into being
according to this Word,
promise and performance,
judgement and mercy,
vision and taste,
Light to them that sit in Darkness,
bitter water now made sweet,
in doubt to men,
but settled in Heaven forever!
