Matthew's run _

Circuit bound
walk e come
esplanade's
midnight fun.
Hot as hell
through the day
breeze sarub
sweat to pay.

Off he goes
moon on high
silver sea
on the right.
Boardwalk bound
slide away
slippery as
salt sea spray.

Solitary
walk this one
past those who
rest like stone
structures set
up on logs
meant as seats
for wet togs.

Trees full with
lorrakeets
fan the air
in their sleep
with their chirps
chatter bugs
background waves
washing tubs.

Then a voice
greets his stride
matthew's from
sydney side
up in cairns
for awhile
coorie man
feeling fine.

Then his mate
comes around
thomas from
sydney town.
Time to sit
time to chat
on the log
chewing fat.

Talk e comes
easy fair
rainbow snakes
in the air.
Coorie stuff
murri too
under our
cairns full moon.
