Beauty Across the Years

The first flowers
I ever noticed
were Pansies, Lilacs and Iris.
Pansies, Happy Faces,
were close to the ground,
and so was I.
The lovely multi-colors
pleased me.
Beautiful Lilacs
were in big, tall bushes,
dividing our back yard
from the neighbors',
and purple Iris grew
in the long side yard.
Now, so many long years later
Lilacs bloom at our back door,
Pansies are just down the street
and Iris blossom in our front yard!
The beauty of the Earth,
of God's Creation,
goes on and on
like Truth:
always true!
