The private world of secretsWhat is in that head of yours, you would never share with a soul, What can be so secretive, kept locked up in that big black hole, Do you allow yourself the luxury, to think about it once in a while, Or keep so securely hidden, your sub-conscious its own locked file, Do we moralise about what we think, or regret what we may have done, Do we question our inner held beliefs in the fear the world may shun, Or is it that we can't come to terms with our own inhibitions and unease, Or is it that we could receive the wrath of a society we aim to appease, We all harbour our inner thoughts, suppressing their hidden power, To influence what we feel and think, remain safe in our ivory tower, None of us are perfect, we moralise when we think we are wrong Our own judge, jury, executioner, self condemnation overly strong, Beware of the self-righteous, what secrets they keep hidden away, Often taking up an opposite standing, to the behaviour they display, Accept we are individuals, with our secret inner feelings and thought, Accept man is his own enigma, we always have been a mysterious lot Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
