Let all godly people pray,
To you where you may be found;
No matter the time of day,
As water rages around.
Then the waters never reach,
Flood stage in your hiding place;
Remembering to beseech,
As God comforts with sweet embrace.
He protects me from trouble,
And surrounds me with music;
No longer do I grumble,
Since I am enthusiastic.
God says He will help me see,
Teaching me the way to go;
For the Lord say He shows me,
The direction truth does flow.
I was like a stubborn mule,
That needed bridle and bit;
Because I was rude and cruel,
But I was needing to quit
Many awaited heartaches,
From people who are evil;
But His mercy overtakes,
All controlled by the devil.
Put your trust into the Lord,
So you start seeing the light;
Never let His Word be ignored,
So you know that you do right.
