Beautiful, welcome visitor from Asia,
blooming profusely in our side yard,
covering the ground
with a lovely, fragrant carpet
of pink and white petals!
Symbol of nobility,
perseverance and
love of Nature,
a sure sign the long,
drear Winter is past,
the returning birds are
singing sweetly in the trees!
Spring with its longer days of sunshine,
with its delightful beauty of
Crocuses, Forsythia, Daffodils,
Pansies and Hyacinths,
the gauzy green loveliness of trees
coming into leaf like
a delicate, Chinese fan,
Apple trees and Crab trees
in glorious bloom!
Ah, the splendor of God's Creation,
proclaiming His Being and His Glory!
