'' Without A Shot Being Fired ''
The aliens are coming and we're not prepared,
We're too busy fighting each other,
There's no need for them to be running scared,
Our defences they'll be able to smother.
Our hatred and mistrust has made us all blind,
Human arrogance is coming home to roost,
We are witnessing the demise of humankind,
A new hierarchy will be introduced.
They look upon our species as an easy touch,
As there's nothing on which we can agree,
As for intelligence they can see there's not much,
An outright victory they can guarantee.
While we are involved in our petty disputes,
They're among us and we don't even know,
Very soon they infiltrate the men in suits,
By promising them their finances will grow.
They take advantage of their dishonour and greed,
They know that corruption is rife,
Off their treachery and debauchery the aliens feed,
It's the beginning of the end of all life.
Before we know it they're in total control,
All human beings have been cast to the side,
In the running of our planet we do not have a role,
That's what happens when two worlds collide.
The aliens are victorious their battle is won,
We didn't even manage to put up a fight,
The conflict was over before it begun,
They had no need to use their great might.
In helping each other we had lost our way,
Self- interest and selfishness are what ruled,
As for our future we do not have a say,
Immoral people are so easily fooled.
By exploiting our weaknesses after they came,
They knew money is what our species desired,
By promising our leaders fortune and fame,
The war was over,
