 Innocence's Bloodline
Bloodlines reek of lies so toxic
Heart beats locked in the fleshy locket
Dreams bleed out of the eye sockets
Mercy stopped as crooks reach in their pockets

Children run and seek for magic
A love so great it can stop the madness
Yet even the beginning was tragic
Clear to dark skies, what truly happened?

Gold to red flows quickly through the halls
To simply pour out into the streets
Watch every child willingly fall
Their dreams dissolve without a scream

Green fields to yellow
Blue to gray oceans
Young to elderly fellows
Watch it all in slow motion
The peace destroyed by war
The youth forever turned
Hate, we need no more!
Yet we never seem to learn

Soon the sun will rise again
Expecting to cast its summer glaze
Yet all it finds in the end
Is a still bloody haze
When nature is brought back to life
It will see every child's face
And weep with sorrow for nights
Knowing innocence has no trace
