 From my mind

Sad Day

A murder that shocked a Nation.

Sad Day

They killed another soldier today butchered on the street
Knocked him down with a car then cut him up like meat.
He was neither in uniform nor desert sand beneath his feet
For he was in London town in broad daylight left bleeding on the street.

They stood and taunted passersby, posing for photos with bloodied hands
Wanted war in London town for Muslim rights all in the name of Islam.
A woman stood there face to face, protective, unafraid and asking why?
How can man do this to another in the name of religion causing this boy to die

Two black Muslim extremists were responsible for this hideous crime
Bullets should have put them down dead in the gutter along with muck and grime.
He wore Help for Heroes on his T-shirt emblazoned proudly on his chest
Brave fusilier will go with full military honours a hero to stand up there with the rest.

For every red poppy a heart stopped beating
