A TRIBUTE TO DORIS & ISH COVINGTON - (REPOSTED FROM JUNE 11, 2009)

When just starting out as a brand new poet
I was greeted by many here who dropped in
But there was one couple who were so kind

Doris & Ish Covington from New Mexico
She a country poet and he a gentleman
Both were more than encouraging to me

I had received an e-mail today from Doris
Telling me that Ish was placed in Hospice
And she knew what this move really meant

They have been blessed by God above
With loving family and many friends
They have given so many great hope

Through her wonderful poems of love
Describing God's love for all of us
She's asked for prayers for her Ish

I for one am praying hard for both
They've both have spread the word
Praising God and all of his Glory

So today I'm asking all those here
No matter what your religion to pray
In whatever fashion you may choose

That a miracle will be granted today
For Doris and Ish Covington & family
That Ish may recover from his illness

I ask God to grant this appeal to them
And if he chooses to take Ish back home
Then grant his family the peace of mind

Knowing he is with you in Heaven Lord
Give Doris the support she will need
And hold her tightly in your arms Lord

I had posted this tribute poem and a prayer request for Doris and Ish
back on June 11, 2009 only to find out a few hours later that Ish had
passed away. I once again pray now for Doris as she is facing another
anniversary of the passing of Ish and as she is dealing with many other
health issues now with family members as well as herself now too. Please
say a few prayers of your own choosing and in whatever manner that you
worship in your own lives, that God will comfort Doris through all of
her trials and tribulations that she is now facing as these issues weigh
heavy on her at this time.
