If I Placed a Sparrow #547
If I Placed a Sparrow If I placed a sparrow onto yours, my lover's sill, would the warbler sing a melody or hush within your still as it peers into your window at the peace found on your face that could halt the course of heaven and make enemies embrace or, if I placed a sparrow onto yours, my lover's bed, would the feathered wing a pirouette or tranquil be instead as might mesmerized a flower be when first it sees the dawn and the golden dreams of sunlight streams recede into your yawn or, if I placed a sparrow onto yours, my lover's grasp, would the frightened wriggle until death or breathe a lowly gasp most assured by quintessential smile that warms the deepest sea like the warmth of Serengeti warms giraffes that stretch for leaves or, if I placed a sparrow onto yours, my lover's heart, would the nestling build a stable home or fledglingly depart reborn into your firmament as an eagle stealth in flight soaring steadfast in the atmosphere a love of greatest height. |
