Walking My Thirty -Two

Walking My Thirty Two           June 23, 2013

Walking in my land with pride with my head held high
Thinking about our martyrs and sometimes asking why
I'm on the road of freedom as I walk my thirty-two
This lovely land of Ireland has room for me and you
From Malin Head to Skibbereen, The best I've ever seen
Walk with me in Ireland, you'll soon know what I mean
From Derry town with the little streets to friendly County Down
From Mayo to Wexford, Dublin's a favorite town
Donegal, sweet Gweedore with the beautiful Poisoned Glen
Tipperery with Cashel all the way to Galway Bay
The town of Cork where Collins walked now free or so they say
Wicklow on the Irish Sea to Bundoran on the west
The lovely counties of thirty-two I love them all the best
The shamrock grows where no man goes, growing green with pride
Thirty-two of the best I've seen, in Ireland that's what I mean
Walking in my land with pride with my head held high
Thinking about our martyrs and sometimes asking why
