Bought With a Price
Just an ordinary
happy, healthy young boy.
Just ordinary looking parents.
You wouldn't pick them out of a crowd.
Yet, when the mother was expecting,
they talked with a couple
who had tried for ten years
to have a child and couldn't.
The couple offered them
their entire farm
to give up their boy to them.
Such a price to give or refuse
just for a human life!
Such an ache of sorrow and longing
to be willing to give so much!
Yet not so much as
the great, loving heart of God
who gave His only Son for us.
Yes! We are all bought with a price!.
For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believe in him
should not perish, but
have everlasting life. John 3:16
