Comfort Sings, for Doris By EDWIN FLORES, www.PoetryPoem.com/poetry2231 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
Today the weight upon shoulders
Has taken toll, the need to hold her
Becomes her very thought to ease
Much suffering and silent pleas
Death has rained a storm of loss
Family and friends birthing remorse
How much more can she take in
A heart with loss too much within
This week will bring once more the love
Of life, of heart, he she thinks of
The man she loves and misses so
Wished for today to ease what woes
I write this day to tell one thing
That knows her place of suffering
That need not be bout lingering
As comfort comes with song to sing
Dear faithful servant I hear you
Hold to my word, I'll walk you through
The emptiness that tears now fill
Will soon know joy I shall fulfill
Though it seems the moment now
Has had its way as I allowed
Take comfort for I am near
As he, now mine you love my dear
Your cries to me and him each day
Are heard and pave your path today
To bring passing as it defines
So draw nearer for you are mine
Comfort sings this day your song
Of needs that wish to right what's wrong
Patience yours will soon become
Of you with Ish in my Kingdom
