My Final Choice

My Final Choice         July 21, 2013

Murdered before Grace how sad could it be
In love with your dream to be free
You made your choice for your country, not you or me
You are remembered in this land, we sing about you today
An Irish bride loved you on your way
How strong you were, challenged and alone
An Irishman with thoughts of your own
They removed our hero's just like you
What you said was true, if only Ireland knew
How cruel could a country be to steal an Irish jewel?
Rest in peace my hero with your lady denied
In love with your dream to be free
Murdered before Grace how sad this could be
In love with your dream to be free
