Distance plays its part this day
A comfort zone where loss will play
Another heart and soul into
Abyss instead of light walked through
Yet in demise by mans own hands
Christ loved no less and took the stand
He stood before the proud and vain
He took the worst of thoughtless pain
Mans actions proved without a doubt
How cruel this world that goes without
Love so pure not found among
Mankind He loves who lives high strung
The noose around our necks will play
Our final act, hung out still the way
Calls to the sinner who sears life away
In fire storms wake, as darkness near preys
We chance tomorrow will come as it did
As yesterdays came and do as we bid
For gamble we do the moments GOD gives
In game of such chances, forbid who forgives
Loved no less is you, who read these lines
A moment yours who found the time
To stop and think upon the end
