Poem #121
Sitting and Waiting
Sitting in the van, waiting for the Sunday papers to arrive,
Daddy falls asleep while I sit writting a poem.
As I sit in the warmth of the van,
I think about Cindi and her brother Eryn and how
I'm going to their house tomorrow.
And also bouncing around in excitement
Inside myself sitting patiently for the fronts to come.
My body telling myself to go to sleep but mind saying if you fall asleep you might
Not get back up to do the papers and daddy is counting on me
Wishing I could see my boyfriend I remember it's ok
I'm seeing Cindi and Eryn tomorrow, I should be happy
Which I am and very bouncy too!
Some people say that I am very bubbly person and also so forgiving
I realize while waiting that I get to see my brothers come Wednesday around seven that night.
Still waiting for the papers as Daddy is working up from a sleep
About thinking about going back to sleep.
Trying to keep, myself up so I don't fall sleep.
Finally the papers arrive around 4 am.
Thinking, yay, we can actually get started now!
Hoping to be his lovely bride someday,
