THE DRAWING PEN

I am listening to this beautiful music TIME TO SAY GOODBYE
My heart is remembering yesteryear

I am holding your drawing pad in my hands - On one page is a picture
you sketched of me when I was pregnant with our first child

My mouth was smiling and my eyes looked so happy
My stomach had a bulge showing new life within

I turn the pages and there is one of me with my belly round and full
My hair was in a pony tail - I looked so young to be having a baby

Underneath the sketch you wrote  "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder"
Then you had scribbled "my eyes are beholding beauty"

Tears flow from my eyes as I turn each page
Memories from a long ago life from your gifted hand

How can one say GoodBye to these precious pages of love and life
How can one  goodbye to a love so dear

As Ernesto Cortazar caresses the keys on the piano
with his loving fingers

I recall the way your fingers caressed the drawing pen
as you drew these memories of yesteryear

I know it is time to "say goodbye"
But my heart still cries "I think I will wait for a little while"

Ecclesiastes 3 (KJV)

1.  To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

2.  A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

4.  A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

14. I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.
