 Penniluck's legacy

You Were Only Four

To my lovely son Clint on his 42nd birthday. love always Mum and Da xxx

I remember way back when
You were a lad of four
Your lovely Da came knocking
Hard on my front door

He took you firmly by the hand
And led you out to play
When we all lived in Kellas Street
Remember-clear as day

When you caught the sunstroke
He helped me see you through
Calling out the doctor
To take a look at you

He got you out of bed at night
It almost made us weep
To see you sitting hand on chin
And snoring, fast asleep

On this your very special day
He`d want you son to know
No matter what, he loved you
Oh yes he loved you so

You sometimes drove us round the bend
And yet we loved you still
Although Da`s gone his love goes on
And it always will

I love you too my laddie
I hope today is nice
And may you win the poker pot
As you throw that lucky dice

Most of all do not forget
Remember what I say
Love is all you really need
Today and every day.
