Walking In the Midnight Hours

When you left me I was so alone I couldn't stand it.
There wasn't any harmony felt or found within me.
A peace I once had was suddenly gone for all time.
The Lord seemed to hide His face from me.
This is something I couldn't understand.
But then I discovered the reason.
It is due to being without you.
Walking in the midnight hours is what I am doing today.
Going from home to other places looking to find you.
There is a heartache that spans a mile wide it seems.
For the fact of you not being here with me is a tragedy.
Give me another chance of making it up to you.
Love me as you did before and allow me to feel whole.
Then I will not be out walking in the midnight hours.
