When the Clock Strikes Midnight

Trevor and Elizabeth have an old grandfather clock in the foyer.
The two would sit in their favorite chairs and listen to the sound of the old clock.
Well, one night, as they were listening to the clock strike twelve, something occurred.
It sounded as if it came from the outside.
They went out there and nothing was apparently wrong.
Wasn't long afterward the two heard another sound.
So checking it out they found themselves going upstairs.
Was there they spotted a little boy who had climbed in from the window.
Then the three of them went downstairs and found all about the boy.
Strangely enough the boy was talking and then suddenly disappeared.
Right about that time the clock struck one and Trevor was gone.
