with every thought that comes into my head..
every toss and turn on my pillow
and every lesson learned..
It seems so often I ache..
window etched in pane..
my heart is made of glass..
my mind, gentle as the breeze..
my spirit still can't decide
if it wants to stay
or if it wants to leave..
For with every ounce of energy..
and every drop of blood..
every fence that needs some mending..
and everyone that needs some love..
Our time will come when we will
prove them all wrong..
and the story will be told
of those who would not be tamed..
when the tigers broke free
of all this world's pain..
and flew towards the Sun,
like a winged Seraphim
and opened our mouths and what came out
and what was heard was interpreted
differently,each accordingly to his soul..
Some saw honey and felt a gentle longing..
while others saw fire and felt like running..
A moment of pleasure,bursting in your brain..
to relapse shortly thereafter on some astral plane..
Flying away, never can we stay.for it pains
me so, to hear all this laughter..
Turn the pages to see what else you can find..
Words spoken to you from the bottom of a grave..
Whispers a ghost that will always haunt your mind..
From the farthest reaches of time..
never at peace never at rest..
forever to walk amongst the living..
like some uninvited guest..
So, please do, set the table and pour a drink
for those who were unable
to be there for the party some call Life..
Remember all your yesterdays
for it's the folly of man to forget..
For if you lose sight of what was before you..
Today will turn into tomorrow
and all of your dreams
will turn into sorrows
and a life full of regret..
