Garden Stroll
I walked awhile in the garden of my mind
reflections of life in full bloom
Amazed at all the beauty I could find
even knowing, death will come soon
Much like a fragile summer wildflower
so much beauty in so little time
The splendor is that it leaves behind the power
next season many more flowers divine
As I walked I felt something close to my side
so close it was as a part of me
I knew of my life there was nothing to hide
and it saw everything I could see
Of such beauty around me I knew was my past
but nowhere was there anything bad
From this presence came the thought, that wrong doesn't last
only good and of this be glad
I walked awhile in the garden of my mind
each step got lighter as I trod
Crying at all the beauty I could find
now knowing this presence was God!
