Double honors to the elders,
Who have handled their duties well;
These men are your older brothers,
In the house of the Lord they dwell.
More so those who teach in the Word,
With having beliefs that are true;
Ensuring it is being heard,
As with faith that is within you.
Muzzle not an ox threshing grain,
The Ox will not cooperate;
And must harvest before the rain,
And the workers must cooperate.
Do not pay any attention,
Anything about the leaders;
Nothing on an accusation,
Coming from any impeders.
Reprimand those leaders who sin,
Do in front of everyone;
Ensuring to give discipline,
For everything they have done.
Show in front of everyone,
The details of immoral sin;
That the elder has gone and done,
The reason to give discipline.
So call in the sight of the Lord,
For an angel as impartial;
And for being in one accord,
Also being consensual.
