Soul searching..
I've looked into the black mirror
and have seen the reflection
of the mad redeemer..
he stares at me..
A crown of stars around his head..
a smile that is all knowing..
it fills my heart with dread..
To see the tidal wave of emotions
crash through oceans so blue..
He's caught up with me..
The world and all there is--
he says,"Could all belong to you.."
That each cup that is offered..
I lifted and pressed to my lips..
is it a bitter draft?
Has the seal been broken..?
Has a gifted soul been stolen?
..for pleasures and Earthly tokens..
Yes, for Achilles, Percival and Custer..
All had Last Stands..
And so greatly what will be remembered
when all the dust of time settles..
And we once again hear of a child's laughter..
Only now do the crimes suit the punishment..
And Angels in chains oh so gently
try to refrain..they always seem
to look up to the sky..
waiting for a reply..
Like fire from the mouth of a 7-headed hydra..
Trumpets of swans and eagles that land on my arms..
Claw deepest into my back..lift me up
and carry me across the milky way
to the center of where life first spawned..
The touch of creation, sparked man's imagination..
From there eternity..
A river ran through the Gate's of Apollo..
so choose wisely my Son..
Cause once you start it..it cannot be undone..
Look for the sign in the stars..
Look untoward the candle that burns away the hours..
Doubt is what chips away at the sovereignty
of the righteous ones..
Who have gone before us..
I shall bring you the light from the darkness..
The fruit from the forbidden tree..
All this I promise..
Patiently await my arrival from the clouds..
My love for you is so real and so strong..
