I Once Was Blind But Now I See
When We First Met
When we first met there was a happiness I truly felt.
The thought of you being with me was a pleasant thought.
When we first met there was a time when I knew no wrong could ever come from you.
But the things you have done and the way you have become have all dashed my hopes of a relationship.
For there is no love felt between the two of us.
There is no happiness when I see your pretty face.
There is always and only sorrow for being exposed to you.
We have never drifted apart before but I feel we must.
May the time be good to both of us and may it bring us back together.
For the time being and in the interim I don't see it happening.
This is the chagrining of the matter and it isn't getting any better.
Let us part for a time and regain what we have lost along the way.
