Blind Search
Soul searching eyes
Looking for affection
They glance outside
Sun their attention
Time slowly goes by
They face their reflection
Instead of smiling wide
They look for perfection
The months stumble on
They harm for protection
The sun rose at dawn
Yet so does depression
Years tumble out of beat
Their body on a mission
Cut. Bleed. Pain. Repeat.
Is their full nutrition
Tears and blood in the sink
Dead dreams with no resurrections
Every time they blink
They scream in frustration
Blinded searching eyes
Looking for acceptation
They tried to look outside
Yet faced a world of rejection
