Ceramic Heart

What's wrong with me,
This girl I see
Who longs to be more than I can dream;
Why can't I fit in?
No where to begin
There's no chance of light for me.
I long to see the hope that has been promised when it's through,
But promises aren't meant to be spoken;
I long to feel the rush of time, as I race to erase it,
But my heart is an obstacle that for decades, has been broken.
I know I am but your burden, your ache inside your spine,
I know I am such a fool, only fools follow kind.
So I tell you as I stand here now, no heart should feel so empty
Swimming through my own river of tears
I want to drown now, there's no fight left in me
Nothing left for you to consume.
