This shade of white blinds me
As I evaporate into you, on my knees,
In front of a metaphoric fantasy
Realizing reality's slowly slipping away.
I'm drowning as I swallow every piece of you
Smelling the sweat that drips from your brow
Gripping words that were once your vow,
that now mean nothing.
I tiptoe quietly until I'm face to face with curiosity,
standing still in hypocrisy
Feeling the rhythm of your hands against my flesh.
And when I close my eyes I see you,
leaning in towards the scent of my hair
your eyes that keep a paralyzing glare.
I am breathless as you reach for me
and now I see
The pieces of my life that weep when you are gone.
