 DANIEL OF THE BIBLE
They took his name
His home
His family
His manhood
His God they couldn't take.

They taught him
Their Babylonian culture
Their Babylonian works
Their Babylonian dreams
Their Gods of metal he knew would crumble.

They tried to burn him alive
His flesh
His friends flesh
His God had the power
His faith brought them life hour after hour.

They couldn't be rid of his God
King Nebacanezzer didn't believe
King Nebuchanezzar didn't see
King Nebuchanezzar had to become a beast
King Nebuchanezzar finally seen how great is the Lord.

They ask him to tell of prophesies
What did it mean
What dream this time
What truth could he tell
What God poured through his soul

They will do more to Daniel
He will persevere
He will remain faithful
He is a man of God
He will be for eternity.
