The Haunting of the White Covered Bridge

There was a white covered bridge in the south of town.
It was hardly ever used anymore as a means of traveling.
For it was old and rickety plus very unsafe for traveling.
Well, there was a group of teenagers who went to the bridge on Halloween night.
The story is they never came back.
What happened is still a mystery.
They had frolicked and played on the bridge but then there was a sound heard as if one was falling.
It was true one of the teenagers did fall from the bridge.
However, before the others could run to help they were accosted by some intruders.
They never made it out alive for they were gone as well.
Now the bridge remains to be boarded.
No one in their right mind would ever cross the threshold for if they did they would meet their own fate.
