If Almighty God is for us,
What more could we desire?
He will take us through the waters!
He will take us through the fire!
He’ll prepare a table for us
Right before our enemy!
O, who can come against us
When Jesus prays for you and me?
I never gave this thought before,
But Jesus doesn’t change.
The same yesterday, today, forever…
So the thought is not so strange.
He prayed for us while on this earth…
Why would He ever quit?
When Satan is still stealing
Or when his flaming arrows hit?
He prays our faith won’t fail us…
For it’s by faith we’re born again!
And all that we receive from God
Comes from this faith within!
He prays that we’re obedient
To all He does command…
To love our God with all our heart
And love our fellow man.
He prays about our witnessing
That we don’t neglect this task.
Lost sheep are a priority
And some sheperds wear a mask.
He prays that we are fruitful…
Remain faithful to His cause…
As forgiving as He taught us…
Looking past fault -finding flaws.
He prays we will be generous…
Be willing to help others….
And not be quick to criticize
Our sisters and our brothers.
Jesus is our intercessor…
He prays about so many things.
May we never fail to thank Him
For the peace His praying brings.
When we’re down upon our knees…
Let us stop and think right there…
That the Lord is praying for us
As He’s listening to our prayer.

~~Author’s Note~~
Jesus sits at the Father's right hand side,
forever our High Priest, forever interceding
on our behalf. He not only does this, but I have
had occasion to be warned by God as well
that I would go through a time of sifting, but that
I would make it through. I thank God that no matter
what we go through, we have Jesus there with us
and IN us to help us through. He is so utterly
faithful, even when we are not.
John 17:20
Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also
which shall believe on me through their word;
Romans 8:31
What shall we then say to these things?
If God be for us, who can be against us?
Psalm 66:10-12
For thou, 0 God, hast proved us: thou
hast tried us, as silver is tried. Thou broughtest
us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our
loins. Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou
broughtest us out into a wealthy place.
Luke 22:31-32
“Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded
permission to sift you like wheat; but I have prayed
for you, that your faith may not fail; and you,
when once you have turned again, strengthen your brothers."
1 Timothy 2:5
For there is one God, and one mediator
between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Psalm 121
“I WILL lift up mine eyes unto the hills,
from whence cometh my help. My help
cometh from the LORD, which made heaven
and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved:
he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold,
he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade
upon they right hand. The sun shall not smite thee
by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD
shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall
preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy
going out and thy coming in from this time forth,
and even for evermore.”
