Visions

Christmas Stable

Softly now,
come to the stable
oh come to the stable with me.
Oh kneel before the manger with me!
There in this lowly place,
see the child's lovely face.
See the gift of God's Grace.
Humbly He comes to us,
we who deserve it not.
Silently coming
to save us from sin.
So shall it be forever,
silently stealing in,
silently as dawn breaking,
silently changing
our inward parts,
our sinful hearts,
transforming our evil soul,
making us pure and whole.
Here on this blessed night,
the dawn of our blessed Light
here in the manger lay
Jesus, the Truth, the Way!
