Just giving thought if one more time
Once more when thanks is not just mine
As we draw near Thanksgiving day
A day to thank exchanged I'd say
Seared on heart, His sacrifice
Gave mankind life with His own life
Love unfailing, compassion pressed
Nailed upon our cross no less
Worth more to Him than all earth's treasure
Priceless to Him, man cannot measure
Measured faults and our shortcomings
Rose from death, near second coming
Doing His part, to bring us change
Act only His, beautiful exchange
Keep the door to your heart open
Keep and thank for the words spoken
Gave us much to give thanks for
Thanks beyond our needs and more
Some balk against eternal life
Ignore His Truth and Heavens Light
Drowning in darkness, in sea of sorrows
Ungrateful hearts for new tomorrows
If just one day give thanks and say
Then just a prayer on Thanksgiving Day
Give thanks each day for thanks is due
For breath of Life, Life's breath you drew
