Since Jesus has suffered so much,
Take the same attitude He had;
Then learn just how to feel the touch,
When someone else has been so bad.
Those who suffer no longer sin,
And not guided by desires;
Because they will be disciplined,
For putting out all those fires.
As you live the rest of your lives,
The Holy Spirit is your guide;
Until the day Christ arrives,
The commands of God you abide.
You spent enough time in the past,
Doing what the pagans have done;
You got drunk pleasures that went fast,
And had no idea of the Son.
The sinful desires and orgies,
Forbidden worship of false gods;
And other types of effigies,
Thought of as real and not as frauds.
The Gentiles think you are strange,
Are surprised and insult you now;
They understand not why you change,
And not really certain just how.
No more into wild living,
Even though they may hold a grudge;
God will not be so forgiving,
When God will be ready to judge.
The Good News was given to them,
And even though they are now dead;
God will eternally condemn,
Forever in darkness instead.
