Symbol of Jesus' Love

It's Christmas time at our house
And we're putting up the tree.
I wished that I could find a way
To remember Jesus' gift for me.

Some little symbol of His love
to remind us how He died.
While we celebrate His birth
may we keep the thought inside.

The symbol of nail-pierced hands
and the blood He shed for all.
A reminder that we can repent
and be saved from pain or fall.

A red ribbon tied around a nail
I hang on my Christmas tree,
that all who happen to see it
know He redeems us for eternity.

Jesus would be resurrected
and rise up from the grave.
God knew the world needed help
so He sent His Son to save.

The nativity sets the scene
of a birth blessed from on high.
Baby Jesus was born one day
but for us He came to die.
