I wish you could speak
you bite (nip)
and claw (tenderize)
and head butt
and sometimes chirp
as your leonine breed does.
I wish we could speak
together,
perhaps, like Vulcans,
paw to head?
We might have a lot to say.
I see you are a cat of many
words by the look of your eyes.
You think deep thoughts and
beat me handily at stare-downs.
You might surprise me, some day soon.
Perhaps, in a dream? I'd applaud
your
Cheshire schemes and stratagems.
I would even encourage you...
I'd gladly take part of them.
Just to see you chatting away and
fooling all the passers by as you look up
to say, "hello, and have a marvelous day!"
What looks there'd be on their faces.
If you really could speak, I'd like to trade
places...
Did you know, there are times when...
My heart speaks to you, even when we
are many miles apart? I do our
talking with the energy of warmth
that encircles my beating heart.
The energy, that is,
that rises within me,
whenever
I am thinking
of you.
I feel a certain responding heat, too.
It must be your thinking back?
We have our
way of talking, I believe.
It is in the unspoken language
of mutual understanding, patience
and love.
Your spark of life
has left its mark,
indelible.

which means long toothed lion who guards
the holy temple (of my heart) in Tibetan.
