This is a story of awareness. Written after a television report on world affairs. It may be lengthily for some, but take the time to read its message.

SUFFER WE, THE WORLD

The core of humanity
Is dying in a mecca of suffering and pain
Mother Earth has had more than enough of abuse from her children
Her actions speak extremely loud and clear
Earthquakes, Mega-Tsunamis,
Historic Flooding,
Volcanoes erupting around world,
Mudslides, Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Droughts and Wildfires,
Holy-Hell!
And here comes the rain

"Man's inhumanity to Man"
"What a piece of work is Man"
It's our inability to give a damn!
Acting like a loon-a-tick because of Man's
Pent up rage and raging egos
Compassion will help to reveal that which we hold in our weathered hands
Nothing!
Man believes he can control the rain

The most terrifying nightmare known to man
Is the one that you can't escape from
There's a global epidemic of children being kidnapped
The loss of their innocence, mind and body
The aftermath of a child raped and murdered or sold into slavery
Shows Man's ultimate inhumanity to man!
Still the rain will pour

It's a fact that summer temperatures
Could reach a blistering 130 degrees in the shade
Cities open their fire-hydrogen's
Cooling the overheated urban unrest
Before it gets to a boiling point and uncontrollable
Children splash and play
In their concrete beach without sand
The homeless will always find a puddle
In which to quench their thirst
What happen when there is a water shortage?
You pray for the rains to come

The worlds population is out of control!!
Take the time to look down any alley, any street,
In any town or city,
State and or any country
The homeless search for food
In filthy trash cans or dumpsters and dump sites
There is NO Excuse as rich as this country is
Give the homeless a job with a fair wages
Let them rebuild the vacant buildings
Scattered across our cities across the map
Give the people hope There is wasted strength, know-how
Filled with faith and a dream.
Here comes the rain to wash hopelessness away

We live in the land of milk and honey
So it is said...
We love our senior citizens more than life?
We're so busy in our lives that the old are to much of a burden
We put them away in an 8X10 room
For their own good
These loved ones
Were and are our teachers in life
Their blood and sweat molded you for the future
Look what you have done...
And still the rain comes

The root of all evil
Is not money!
It's a tidal wave of GREED
That crashes upon the shores of man
Man still kills rare and endangered species of animals
For sport and for profit
At one time we hunted them for food
Wasting not a part
Everyday one or more species disappears from the face of earth
Who breeds faster on this planet?
We are suppose to be civilized and humane
Euthanasia is lurking around the corner as our last resort

Man needs Sterilization
It's not that it should be mandatory
But one never knows what the future will hold for Man
God's eye is and emotional storm
Let your soul cry
Somewhere a Mega thrust earthquake will rock the world
Creating a murderous Tsunami
Washing across man's creative world
Everyone should bring an umbrella
For this is something we can not prepare for
So if life's anchor is to much weight to bear
Man must make a change
Then, my fellow man
LET THE RAIN COME!
