WINE AND GATES

I'm Done, Your Atrophy (No Kidding)?!

red shoes, purple tie
thinking mans dandelion shirt, blue enough pants
where the big hunting for a whole can, deny
the care of each hurt in the space of a single cant

a whale of a deal
the nature of symbols and the dim honor of courage
in the spare fittings of a new weal
the secrets to a vision of the prophets wage

poor lurid consideration, a stain of coffee on the shirt
where a grown man can say, the least of things that held true
in the powers that be, is a meter for more than worth
but the exercise of merit, as If a babyish thing is due

a little ghost, with a merriment's name
harmony and sacred heed for a hanging head
that knew the details of duty for a knot, tamed
like the reach of survival of kind, as justly said

dancing like a fool
the truth in wishing the kiss a pool
riding the wind for a foot and its stool
knowing the care in a word's eye, for a sincerer tool

all do, the clothes are optional
but we hope you keep your promise, to question any like the thing it is
the more of same to have a game, of which is a timely bell
knowing marriage for one more patience, and then this...
