Luke 2: 15 − 17
V. 15. And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven,
the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem,
and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.
V.16. And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.
V. 17. And when they had seen Him, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.

my understanding of the Scriptures
15. After the angels when back into heaven the shepherds said lets go to Bethlehem
and see for ourselves what is happening. Can you imagine how these shepherds felt
after seeing all that had happened. They were amazed, excited and afraid.
They wanted to see what had come to pass. They knew it was true.
They believed the Lord had made it known to them.
16. Quickly they left the country side and rushed to Bethlehem.
They had no trouble finding the stable where Mary and Joseph were.
They saw the Baby Jesus lying in a manger, (a crib for feeding animals).
How do you think they felt when they first saw the Baby? I am sure they knew Him for who He was.
For the Lord had made it known to them.
17. After they saw Him their joy was overwhelming. They could not keep it to themselves.
I believe they stopped and told everyone they saw about the miraculous events that had taken place.

Do you recall how it was after you first came to know Jesus as your savior?
How you could not keep it to yourself. How you wanted to tell everyone about Him?
If you do not know Him, it is my prayer you will know Him today as your Savior.
